OJSC PMK-88 Vodstroy was established in connection with a change in the form of ownership of the Klimovichi State Unitary Communal Enterprise of Land Reclamation Systems. OJSC PMK-88 Vodstroy carries out the following activities:
• operation of irrigation and drainage systems;
• construction, operation and overhaul of hydraulic engineering and land reclamation facilities;
• performance of construction and installation works;
• repair and maintenance of ameliorative equipment.
The main tasks of OJSC PMK-88 Vodstroy are:
implementation of a unified state policy for the construction and operation of reclamation and water management systems in the Klimovichi and Khotimsk regions;
increasing the efficiency of reclamation lands;
execution of programs for land reclamation and water management construction, reconstruction of systems, as well as performance of works commissioned by other land users;
maintenance of cadastres and certification of reclamation network and structures on it.
History of creation:
The distant predecessor of OJSC PMK-88 Vodstroy was PMK-21 of the Selkhozvodstroy trust. It was established on July 30, 1970. Its main task was to drain the lands with an open network and closed drainage, the construction of water pressure and water control structures, and a complex of cultural and technical work on reclaimed lands. Where required, the column built pumping stations and irrigation systems.
The enterprise has done a lot to transform heavily swampy and bushy lands into full-fledged farmland. Only in recent years, pasture lands have been enlarged by hay meadows and sown areas. Every year, the organization commissioned up to 15 km of on-farm roads. Land reclamators built: a city pond, lakes Lazovitsa, Konokhovka, 5 ponds in the village of Kiseleva Buda, a large pond in the village of Miloslavichi, and a recreation area on the Kalinitsa River. A number of reclamation systems have also been built.
