Since 1966, the construction and installation department (CMU) has been engaged in the creation and reconstruction of structures intended for the use of water resources. In 1975 it was renamed PMK-79, and in 1985 - PMK-89. Since 2002, the enterprise exists as PMK-89 Vodstroy OJSC.

At present, the main type of economic activity is the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of the reclamation network in good condition.
And also, the enterprise is building housing in the countryside, treatment facilities in the city of Klichev, forestry roads on the lands of the forestry enterprise, work on the reclamation of lands vacated after the demolition of livestock and other buildings, the installation of water supply and sewerage for houses under construction, clearing glades of power lines from overgrowth and etc.
